Ok. It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Busyness and lethargy don’t mix well for blogging.
I’ve encountered significant change, recently. I’m pleased to say I am now on the ministry staff at Gateway Church in Southlake. This is a thrill beyond imagination and a dream I’ve had for some time. My position is a Ministry Coordinator in the Equipping and Leadership Development department with John Spurling and Alan Smith. So, while I’ve left public education, I haven’t left education totally. It’s being redirected. I’ll write more about this change soon to elaborate on my feelings, my experiences, and my responsibilities.
In the meantime, the PhD work continues at A&M. Even though the specialty is on Public School Administration, I’m able to wobble the focus a bit so that it dovetails nicely with my current work.
Continue to pray for my health–some days I just don’t feel good. But I’ve had some very specific words recently about my future and know without a doubt that my days have not reached their end.
Also pray that the Lord will bless the work of my hands so I might accomplish the goals set before me in my new job.
Blessings,
RB
