It was one month ago today that the insanity of my illness kicked in. I had been sick for the week prior to this, but it was on January 18 that the doctors discovered I was in heart failure. I find it hard to believe that one month has passed. In many respects it seems so long ago–so much waiting, yet my memories of the event remain so fresh like it was only yesterday. A month is not a long time, but I celebrate this day because, in truth, it’s my one month birthday of life!
